You have to have good money for the good ones.

Of course this doesn't make it okay.
But understanding is a step towards solving the problem.

There are a couple of schools of thought that I am observing:

A: they do it to get attention.

B: there's an issue and they can't help it

    In my view:

Either way, these two schools of thought only deal with the behavior.

This woman said she didn't have the right insurance to get comprehensive treatment for it.

I am also struck by the idea of it still being an unknown!

I mean, many people, I hear talk about it, are people who underwent trauma .

We need funds and better health insurance for study and treatment!

Her case cause is probably anecdotal; she said that "no one really knows what causes it". I suspect that it's a nervous issue like anorexia.

Many of these disorders have root causes. This woman felt like she had to have control over what happened to her physically.

Learning about trichotillomania (hair pulling). It's a nervous issue. There are deeper issues going on with this woman.

If you can't click see if you can copy it and paste it . I hope it'll take you to the YouTube app.

Or you can search "we're all insane" on YouTube and look for the one on trichotillomania.
